I'm Eleanor Reynolds. I am currently a Film BA (Hons) student at Edge Hill University with a lifelong passion for storytelling and the creative arts. From a young age, I’ve been captivated by the world of film and the process that brings stories to life on screen. My interests lie particularly in creative writing and film production, and I'm excited to explore the many ways these elements intersect within the creative industry.

My roles in high-pressure environments, such as Aintree Racecourse and busy bar settings, have strengthened my communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Career Planning
As I continue my Film BA (Hons) studies at Edge Hill University, I am focused on developing a career as a freelance writer within the UK’s creative industries, with a particular emphasis on scriptwriting for film and television.
To strengthen my writing skills and industry knowledge, I plan to enrol in additional scriptwriting courses outside of university. Two courses I’m currently considering are:

"Writing Your First Screenplay" by the National Film and Television School (NFTS) – a highly regarded online course designed to guide writers through the fundamentals of screenwriting and story structure.

"Screenwriting: An Introduction" by City Lit, London – an in-person or online course that explores the foundations of screenwriting, including formatting, character development, and dialogue.
While I am passionate about working in the creative industries, I’m also aware of the potential instability in freelance work. To manage this, I plan to continue working in hospitality management, a field I am experienced in and which offers financial stability. This dual approach will allow me to build savings, fund independent creative projects, and maintain flexibility as I develop my freelance portfolio.
Over the next few years, my goals include:
